I am browsing You Tube for I am looking for a song that I heard in the grocery this morning. Instead of finding the said song, I ended up finding this video by Timon and Pumbaa. I first heard this song when we watch The Lion King in 1994. I just loved the song! If you would listen attentively to its lyrics it is a very encouraging song.

Wikipedia said that; “Hakuna matata is a Swahili phrase that is literally translated as “There are no worries”. It is sometimes translated as “no worries”, although is more commonly used similarly to the English phrase “no problem”.

I know that most of us worried about a lot of things. Even acne and pimples give us worries! Well, my friend told me to read about proactiv and hopefully that would help my pimple concern. In any case I would want you to enjoy this video. I believe that we should not worry that much, we have God who is bigger that all of our problems. Enjoy!

As part of our bonding session, Daisy, Ime and I decided to watch New Moon. Oh how I love to see the movie. I have the 4 books already but I can’t help watching New Moon on big screen. I found Robert Pattinson who played Edward, very good looking! I like the chemistry between him and Kristen Stewart who played Bella.

We arrived at SM South Mall 20 minutes before the next viewing schedule. After buying our tickets, we went ahead and bought popcorn from Chef Tony’s. Then we headed our way to cinema 3. Daisy and I bought sodas while Ime settled for mineral water. We’re just in time to get into the cinema. After settling on our chosen seat, we prepared ourselves in watching New Moon.

As what promised, the Twilight Saga’s New Moon movie has been loyal to the book. Oh how loved the way they showed how Jacob and the rest of the Quilette’s boys shifted into a huge wolves. I loved the Italy scene where Bella is about to save Edward from making a scene. Oh, I am pretty sure you know what I am talking about! I can’t wait ‘til June, 2010 when Eclipse will be shown.

After the movie, I asked if Daisy enjoyed watching it. She said that if we didn’t tell her the story of Twilight, she would not be able to appreciate New Moon. But since we’re able to do some story telling before watching the movie, she was able to enjoy watching New Moon.

We had some pictures taken before Edward, Jacob and Bella’s posters! We also stroll around the mall for a while. We also passed by a sports house and found a Kettlebell very useful for workout.

I really enjoyed the time spent with my friends. Oh how I miss them so much. Our other friend Pinky said to schedule another get together before Christmas. We asked Ime to file another vacation leave, because the 3 of us have common rest days, Saturday and Sunday.

Well, I guess only in movies. I have not collecting angel stuff yet when I first seen this movie. I was in grade school, still. I haven’t watch the movie in cinema, for this movie was released in theaters sometime in 1987. I was only 6 years old then! Even at a young age, I have love angels already. Date with an Angel, is one of my all-time favorite movies. The story is about an angel who fell from heaven to take Jim Sanders soul back to heaven. Well, check the plot synopsis here.

Emmanuel Beart played the angel. While Phoebe Cates played the fiancee of Jim Sanders (played by Michael Knight). One of my favorite scenes in the movie was when Jim’s buddies, kidnapped her using a french fries as a bait. Oh, how she loves french fries!

It was a busy day for me yesterday. It’s not quite a regular off for me, though. I reported to work for our scheduled work on restday. Actually, I really have no plans of rendering WORD yesterday but my mother keeps on bugging me about it so I went to the office. It was just a half day word so, time flew fast that I hadn’t notice that it’s time to go.  Afterwork, I decided to join my friends and colleagues in watching the movie, Angels and Demons. I have seen the Da Vinci Code and I’m curious about the story of this one.

I remember my sister, Patty, telling me one time that she’s really excited about the movie. She read the book and she can’t imagine how they will make the book into a movie. Anyway, we arrived at SM Megamall at around 2PM (I guess ). We ate our lunch at Chef Donatello. We enjoyed our pizza at pasta lunch! :)  We headed our way to the movie house and waited til the movie started.

I admit it, at first, I don’t seem to understand the movie! I even sent a text message to my sister Patty and told her that I’m watching Angels and Demons already, and I can’t seem to understand it. Well, she replied to my text with a mocking and laughing message :)! Anyway, I focused and paid full attention to the movie until I slowly getting it gist.

At the end of the story, I sent another text message to my sister again and told her that I understood it. I was getting goosebumps while watching the movie. I even cried at some parts of the movie. I am a Catholic and I will stick to my faith no matter what.

I will not deliberately tell what happened to the movie. There was a lot of information, places and names that I cannot remember. But what is important is that how the movie affected my life and my faith. Well, watching the movie and I guess even reading the novel itself will not shake my faith a bit. Like other religions, Catholic faith is not flawless. Over the years, a lot of non-believers have tried to ruin and run over this faith.

But then, what really matters is that my faith and my love to one true God will not be moved by any movies or stories as such.

I had been lazy blogging this past few days. I don’t know if it’s the weather that made me feel that way or my work. I don’t have the same enthusiam before. Anyway, I found an inspiration in sharing my thoughts with you again after I finished reading New Moon. I guess I got so attached with Bella’s heartache that’s why I somehow lost energy in writing.

Like Twilight, the book 2 of Twilight Saga will be in film and would be in theaters sometime in November, 2009. Ofcourse, I intend to watch it in movie house this time As I browse the net to look for more information about the upcoming film, I found a very interesting site, twilightpoison.com. For me it is a very informative site especially for Twilight fans!

But among the beautiful facts that the site presented, I liked the best its article about the  cars “used” in the novel. According to the site:

Stephenie has a very clear idea of what the cars in her novels look like. Here are the exact models the characters own according to Stephenie’s official website.
If you always wondered why she decided to choose certain cars for her characters just read the descriptions of the cars. We are starting to believe this is no coincidence ;).

This is Isabella Marie Swan’s car. It was Charlie’s “homecoming” present for her the day she arrives in Forks from Arizona.

This one’s Rosalie Cullen’s car.
Features: The BMW made sure that this was one of the hottest cars ever launched fo the company. It’s a luxury compact executive car. The BMW defines this car as “a car with unique geometry”. It has a motorsport engine used in racing programs, and it’s highly powerful. It’s a high performance car and it has the most agressive aerodynamics that had ever been used for a car. It’s a best selling automobile, according to the BMW and it has won several awards, especially for its powerplants.

Mercedes S55 AMG

This is Dr. Carlisle Cullen’s car. Very classic car that really suits Carlisle.
Features: Being a creation from the Mercedes Benz company, this is a highly expenssive luxurious car. The Mercedes Benz refers to cars like these as “Special Class Car”. It was designed for high performances and it has tons of safety features. However, the most defining features of a car like this is its classic elegance and its modernity. Mostly everything on this car can be controlled through audio, thanks to the Linguatronic Voice recognition system which controls audio, navigation and even cellphone calls.

Jeep Wrangler

This one is owned by Emmett Cullen.
Features: This is an off road vehicle, sucesor of the World War II Jeep. It’s extremely powerful, strong and resistant. However, it’s fairly comfortable. It has a galvanized body, wider wheelbase and less ground clearance. It has 8 inch wheels wide, high back seats, off road gas shocks, power steering, fog lamps and extra capacity fuel tank. This one is Jacob Black’s car. In the novel, Jacob put an effort to “rebuild” this car.
Features: Despite being a very old model, it’s highly respected. It has a nice performance and it’s fairly cheap. It’s successor of cars like the Golf.

Porsche 911 Turbo

This is the car used by Alice Cullen when she and Bella went to Volterra City (in Tuscany, Italy) to save Edward from pissing off the Volturis. This is also the same car that Alice would want to have “legally” which Edward promised to give her on Christmas.
Features: It’s a sports car especially designed for legal street racing. It’s extremely powerful, since it features a Turbo charger for its performance and speed. The company defines this car as created for “exhilarating acceleration”. It’s exclusive, therefore it’s very rare and extremely expenssive. It’s design is distinctive and very durable. However it was named the most fatal car ever. It’s extremely dangerous to drive a vehicle like this and most of its features are illegal in certain parts of the world, especially where street racing is illegal.

My daughter has a new favorite movie. She watches Barbie, The Island Princess devotedly everyday! Sometimes, even twice a day! She loves the animals in the film. She adores the baby elephant named Tika. She also likes Azul, the peacock, the Sagi, a red panda and the dolphins.  She also enjoys singing the songs in it! Sometimes, I hear my self singing the songs also!

Nonet’s favorite songs from the movie are Right Here In My Arms,  I Need to Know and  Always More. So, I may be able to sing the whole songs with here, I did some lyric search and luckily, I found them!

Right Here in My Arms is something like a lullabye that Ro (Barbie) and her mother, used to sing to each other.  Ro was raised by island animals, Tika, Sagi and Azul. She was shipwrecked when she was about 8 years old. In the island, she learned how to speak with animals but she hardly remembers anything from her past. That song is the only she remembered which brought her back into her mother’s arms in the end of the movie.

I bought several DVDs the other day. Last night my cousin and I decided to watch one the films I got. The movie “The Day the Earth stool still” really caught my attention. I was expecting a different story than the movie presented, but it was indeed an amazing and an “awakening” film.

What if one day you came face to face with another creature from our neighbor planets. It will tell you that man’s technology has developed weapons that could be a threat to earth’s neighbors in the universe. That they are creatures who have watched the world from afar and since the universe’s safety is at risk, they come to destroy the planet earth. But that could be changed, if man will be able to prove them the value of human life.

Honestly, I wouldn’t know what to answer as well. In the movie, the lead actor, Joshua, was to prove to prove the so-called aliens the value of human life. He was able to show them that man has compassion. That man has a feeling, and that inspite of all the technology around, man still knows how to give true love.

I just heard from the news, that there was this woman who just gave birth from a certain hospital, who lost her baby. Not that the baby died, but it was stolen. A new-born baby was stolen! At first, I got mad with the mother. I am a mother as well and she couldn’t be that careless losing her new born child. Then, she explained that she was given a medicine by the attending nurse and somehow fell asleep. When she woke up she can’t find her baby anymore. Her husband came in the hospital and learned that there was no any record which shows that the woman gave birth there. The news anchor then said that it is a new type of modus operande today. Hearing that incident made me really sad.

Looking around us, you can really say that it will be hard for man to prove the value of human life. But then, I know that inspite of all the crisis that the earth faces today, man will still be able that our life, our earth is worth fighting for.

If I were to ask you now, how will you to prove to the value of your life?

I took a photo of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight. Well, almost everybody went ga-ga when Twilight movie was released. Even copies of books from different bookstores became out of stock and hit the spot of being a bestseller.

In the office, almost everyone is reading a pdf copy of the series. Well, to be honest, I have not seen the movie nor read the book. I don’t know maybe I am not interested or really not my type of story.  I am not sure whether Edward even give Bella one of the nicest engagement rings ever or not.

Well, when I read what New York Times says about Twilight, I somehow got interested and might spend time reading it. Aside from that, I’d like to own a complete set of the series.

I intend to post this yestereday but wasn’t able to.  Anyway, I spent my rest day from work by watching the 3 chapters of The Mummy. I love movies such as this. It could be a fictional movie but with sense of history. Remember the character of Rachel Weisz in The Mummy Returns, yes she still played the role of Eve Carnahan-O’Conell, but in her past life, she was actually Nefertiri, the pharaoh’s daughter. If we can recall, there was once an Egyptian queen who was said to be the most beautiful queen of Egypt. Her name was Queen Nefertiti. I am not quite sure if Eve’s past life has something to do or was related to Nefertiti.

I watched the movie with my cousin who enjoyed the movie as well. I like this movie because of its location, Egypt. I have watched a couple of intriguing episodes about Egypt in National Geographic Chanel. One of the most remarkable and interesting “mummy” episode I had seen is about the discovery of the tomb of King Tut or Tutankhamun. He was laid to rest in the Valley of Kings some thousands of years ago, and was disturbed by Howard Carter in the early 1920’s.

Anyway, my cousin and I watched also the latest chapter of it, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, which starred Jet Li as the Emperor.  I was surprised not to find Rachel Weisz portraying the role of Eve O’Connell. But Maria Bello was able to give justice to Eve’s character (except for the British accent! ) Out of curiosity, I searched over the net why, Rachel has not been part of the recent chapter of The Mummy. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find the exact reason of Rachel. What the net says, Rachel didn’t like the script. Others, said she’s a big star already and her schedules didn’t allow her to accept the movie. Whatever reasons she had, I bet it was for her career’s own good.

I can’t wait for my off again. I am planning to do a “Charmed” marathon.

One of my favorite movies of all times is Disney’s Princess Diaries. Well, I believe that every girl in the world is a princess. I always tell my daughter that even if she’s not born with a silver spoon, being a princess is actually the good personality a person possesses.

As we watch, the part 2 of Princess Diaries, my little princess noticed the stud earrings that Princess Mia wears. How she admires the diamond pendant the princess is wearing. Then she asked me if she can have one of those. Of course with all confidence, I told her, “Yes baby, one day your prince will come and offer you those jewels as well as a three stone ring. He will then ask you to marry him. And, the two of you will live happily ever after.” Just like in fairy tales indeed.

But life, like a diamond has to go through thorough honing for it to be perfect and beautiful as it is.

Well, my little princess is only 2 years old. She has much to learn in life. Once, I told myself that if only I can spare her from all the pains that this world will bring her, then I would. On the second thought, I will be a selfish mother if I will not let Nonet face the different struggles in life which will sharpen her as person.

But like any mother in the world, I would like to my little princess to end up with a prince who will then give her a royal engagement.

My daughter has finally got over with watching Shrek and Highschool Musical 2. What she’s into right now? Enchanted.. I found it very interesting and the soundtrack? I love it!
