My sister Pauline needed to download a thousand pictures last night. We borrowed ate Susan wireless broadband so she can work on her homework over night. We are using Sun Internet. There are few moments of downtime but the connection as a whole is satisfactory. While it is still here, I am taking advantage of it!
Patty and I are planning to get one for our own. But, we are still looking checking if we will be getting a Sun Broadband or we would consider Smart or Globe Tattoo. Your feedbacks about these different Wireless Broadband providers will be much appreciated!
I wonder if Ney is serious of getting a Toyota Hi-Ace Van. Well, it’s actually his parents who told him of getting one. He told me they plan to have it rented. He asked me to visit a site to check the current car prices these days. I told him that I am in the “kinder” level when talking about cars. I admit it! I prefer to talk about computers and networking though!
I found one that would fit their plan. Well I hope I did a good choice. He will still be checking on it when he comes here.
Hopefully, honey will visit soon for I miss him so much already. Anyways, I’ll let you know if he approved my choice!
Sunday is said to be Family Day. Well, it’s true for us, and I believe for most of the families. It is the day when everybody is present in the family. In our family, Sunday is the day when we get bond with each other through videoke. Oh, everybody in my family sings! I sing, my sisters sing, my mother does sing and even my little girl sing! We have one those midi players that you will find in Quiapo and in Greenhills. Last Sunday was another videoke day! I woke up at around 6AM. Well, that’s too early to have “videoke session”, so I let my mother listened to 60’s music which is being aired over Love Radio. I cooked and ate breakfast. At around 8:30AM, when my mother stepped out of the house to do an errand, I turned off the radio and setup videoke. My sisters and my daughter were having their breakfast then already.
While setting up the videoke, Patty mentioned that she is already planning to resign from her current work and look for any jobs in administration. She said that she wanted something different and she knows that she’ll succeed in it. I told her to apply and be sure to get hired first before resigning. It’s so hard to lose a job these days.
When I finished setting up the videoke, they are all done with their breakfast as well. Our youngest sister Pauline is already browsing through the song book and reserving the songs she will be singing. I selected couple of songs as well, then Patty had her own choices as well. Our family’s favorite singers are the Carpenters and Abba. Oh, who would not love those great performers!
One of Patty’s favorite song is Super Trouper by Abba. Since we have 2 microphones available, I joined her singing Super Trouper. It was really a lot of fun! We also started singing couple of songs together. :) Like other siblings, we often have misunderstandings and “tampuhan“, but at the end of the day, we are still sisters who will be there for each other. We just need to end our videoke sessions due to church calls. Sunday does is a family day!
I looked around the web and found this video. I know that you guys will enjoy this. I know that Abba’s legacy will be passed on from generations to generations. Their songs will continue to linger and bind many families. Enjoy!
Hmmm, well, we’re planning to get a new sofa! Actually, it was my mother’s and my sister’s idea to get rid of big sofa we have. It’s mattress are loose and the rubber feet are missing. Actually, it really needs good upholstery! We had checked different upholstery shop and it would be cheaper if we get a new one.
Last night, my mom and my sister, move the old 3-seater sofa out of the house. We still have the 2 single-seater chair that were part of the set. My sister, Patty wanted to get a sofa bed instead. She is such a couch potato! She loves watching movies and TV especially when she is off from work. And you would really find her lying on the sofa watching the TV all day!
I told her that sofa bed will not fit in the house. We live in a small house and I think it would not be appropriate to get a sofa bed. My mom on the other hand wanted something like a divan. I’ve seen one from a furniture shop near our place and that cost around Php 2100 only.
My sister will be the one to provide the money for a new sofa. I will just be the approver! Hehehe! Hopefully, we’ll get a new one when she received her 13th month pay this month.
I haven’t had the time to go to different places except for house and work. I enjoy browsing the net and reading about different interesting topics with regard to technology, science, history, culture, fashion, etc. In short, I read anything that interests me. I also enjoy looking at different pictures.
How I love looking at different huge steel buildings built in different parts of the world. I believe there is also one of those here in the Philippines. It is so amazing how people design and build such marvelous towers.
Should I say, God is so amazing for giving such wonderful talents to us people. ? And that we should always be thankful to Him and always use our talents and gift for His glory. Amen.
When I arrived one morning from work, I noticed that our neighbor who is a fish vendor add some “stuff” to their fish stand. He is already selling vegetables, cooking oil, soy sauce, and vinegar. I also noticed that they’ve got some pickles and fish sauce on sale. Then in the afternoon, they have a little cigar store and candies. At night, he has some ihaw-ihaw stand.
I admired his and his wife’s perseverance. It’s just that their children don’t see their hardships. I told my mother that, this couple wanted a comfortable and convenient life, too. Aside from that, they wanted their children to have a better job. But what happened was, their eldest daughter got pregnant without finishing college yet. Then, their second daughter quit schooling and wanted to work. Duh?!? Doesn’t she realize how hard to find a job these days? Their parents are working hard to send them to school and yet they are neglecting those hardships. I don’t know.
I just pity the parents who works so hard just to send their children to school and to give their children a better life. Better than they have. I know that it is parent’s responsibility to feed and give their children their necessities, sometimes even leisure. But, children should also appreciate and value the sacrifices done by their parents for their sake.
As part of our bonding session, Daisy, Ime and I decided to watch New Moon. Oh how I love to see the movie. I have the 4 books already but I can’t help watching New Moon on big screen. I found Robert Pattinson who played Edward, very good looking! I like the chemistry between him and Kristen Stewart who played Bella.
We arrived at SM South Mall 20 minutes before the next viewing schedule. After buying our tickets, we went ahead and bought popcorn from Chef Tony’s. Then we headed our way to cinema 3. Daisy and I bought sodas while Ime settled for mineral water. We’re just in time to get into the cinema. After settling on our chosen seat, we prepared ourselves in watching New Moon.
As what promised, the Twilight Saga’s New Moon movie has been loyal to the book. Oh how loved the way they showed how Jacob and the rest of the Quilette’s boys shifted into a huge wolves. I loved the Italy scene where Bella is about to save Edward from making a scene. Oh, I am pretty sure you know what I am talking about! I can’t wait ‘til June, 2010 when Eclipse will be shown.
After the movie, I asked if Daisy enjoyed watching it. She said that if we didn’t tell her the story of Twilight, she would not be able to appreciate New Moon. But since we’re able to do some story telling before watching the movie, she was able to enjoy watching New Moon.
OME! Very gorgeous!
We had some pictures taken before Edward, Jacob and Bella’s posters! We also stroll around the mall for a while. We also passed by a sports house and found a Kettlebell very useful for workout.
I really enjoyed the time spent with my friends. Oh how I miss them so much. Our other friend Pinky said to schedule another get together before Christmas. We asked Ime to file another vacation leave, because the 3 of us have common rest days, Saturday and Sunday.
Christmas is just around the corner. As of this writing, I believe there is only 25 days left before Christmas day. They say that Christmas is only for children. Well, I don’t think so. Christmas is not just the day for gift giving or about Santa Clause. The reason why we celebrate Christmas Day is that we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We celebrate Mama Mary’s obedience and faith in God. Without Jesus, I cannot imagine where we would be today. I am not sure if we would still be here today. There has been a lot of criticism about December 25 as Jesus birthday. I know that December 25 isn’t really the “date’ when Christ was born; it is just the date when we celebrate His birthday. I believe the real meaning of Christmas is more important than the date itself.
Alright, since it would be just few more days before Christmas Day, my mother decided to set up our Christmas tree. Oh, my little girl was very excited. She has been waiting for my mother to set up our own Christmas tree since our neighbors have their own Christmas decors on display already.
My mother washed the leaves of the tree first. Then, I helped her in putting the leaves and Christmas lights on. My daughter’s favorite part was hanging the different ornaments we have for the tree. We have different colored Christmas balls, flowers and Christmas characters such as Angels and Santa Clause.
After 2 hours, we have our gorgeous tree! Gifts are the ones missing under it. Well, I have bought ample of gifts already but haven’t find the time to wrap them yet.
I really enjoyed this bonding moment with my mother and my daughter! What about you guys? Have you set your trees up already? If not, then do it now. It would really make you feel good.
It’s Christmas season one more time. Oh how I really love the Christmas season! You can find sale from almost every shopping malls. There are a lot of bazaars and tiangge everywhere, too. However, what I always looked forward to every year is the toy sale. Well, I buy toys for my daughter, for my godchildren, my nieces and nephews and of course for myself! Hehehe!!!
I was not born to a wealthy family. My parents see to it that my sisters and I have enough toys to play with. It’s just that there were toys then that we like that my parents cannot afford to buy. We were not brats. If my parents told us that, our money is not enough to buy the said toy, then would understand.
Now that I have a child, I would want to give her the things that I have not had when I was young. And, to let you know, my daughter and I enjoy playing together. One of my aunts, told me not to give everything she wanted because I would end up spoiling her and it would cause me problems. Well, I am really trying not to spoil her. But, she’s an only child and she’s the baby of the family.
Talking about toy sale, Toy Town is having their warehouse toy sale this year. The toy sale will run from November 12, 2009 to January 15, 2010. The toy sale is located in Eastwood City, Libis Quezon City. The warehouse sale is beside 711 convenience store and Cybermall. I have been in there and bought some for my Christmas presents. There are a lot of toys that would definitely suit your budget.
I’ll keep you posted for other toy sales and bazaars that I would learn.
I know that it has been a while since I have posted information and stuff here on my online journal. Last night I thought of working in front of my computer to keep you posted with the latest cool things about me!
Hopefully, you enjoy reading my blog and somehow learned from my own life experiences. I decided to sleep early last night so that I will have a new day, to start writing for my blog again.
How I love to grab a hot expresso made through jura capresso to awaken my sleepy nerves! Today is Monday and let us begin the day, the week, right!
About 2 Saturdays ago, Metro Manila was hit by another storm again. In fact, Manila was under typhoon signal number 3. I wasn’t able to go early because of the danger brought about of the storm. I and my officemates decided to stay in the office. When the strong wind subsides, we decided to stroll around first in one of the malls inside Eastwood City. When I go to the mall, I always drop by a bookstore. I love books so much!
We went inside Fully Booked and National Bookstore. I was lucky enough to find A Nancy Drew collector’s item from Fully Booked. When I am finish collecting all the Hardy Boys hardcover books, Nancy Drew series is my next project.
My sisters and I love playing board games. Playing board games is one way of our bonding hours. When I was in National Bookstore, I thought of getting another Hardy Boys series to add up to my collection, or get a board game instead. Well, it has been a while since I buy that we can enjoy playing together. So, I decided to buy Visionary.
When I got home, I showed my sisters the new game I bought for us. No one knows how to play it! I asked my younger sister to read the instructions. She said that she’s having difficulty understanding the rules and the game procedures. I read the instructions, rules and game procedures, and found out Visionary is like charades!
I explained to them the procedure and how to play the game. We started playing the game at around 10PM that Saturday and ended the game at around 3AM of Sunday already! :) Our mother was so mad at us then because were laughing so hard every time one of us, act out or draw a certain category from the game.
Well, it was really a night of laughter and bonding!
Since we will be fostering another kitten, I am considering of getting an affordable vacuum cleaner, with a 115334 vacuum motor. This would help clean the house more effectively. You see, my daughter and my 2 sisters are asthmatic but we all love animals. My baby will have her pug in December (hopefully nothing goes wrong). Her father will be giving her one, when the puppy is ready to live without her mother.
My mother said that if we should help each other in cleaning the house if we wanted to keep the animals. We don’t own a big house and it may seem easy to clean, but it would really take a lot of time to clean a house efficiently. She said that since, we love animals then we should be responsible enough in taking care of them and keeping them and their surroundings clean.
