Holy Monday

Since I was born in a Catholic family, we have been observing Holy Week ever since. There is no specific date as to when Holy week will be remembered. One thing I observe though, that Holy week usually falls on the week of April or March where there is full moon. :)

Holy week usually starts on a Palm Sunday. We remember Jesus entered Jerusalem as He rode on a donkey. He was welcomed by the people by waving palm leaves. Those were the same people who asked Pontius Pilate to crucify Him. I was in Sierra Madre for our team building then, but I was able to hear mass when arrived in the afternoon.

The following Monday, was so called Holy Monday. In remembering Jesus’ sacrifice and death, we did not play any loud music anymore. We tried to keep the house as quiet as possible. We still watch TV but not as much as we used to.

Last April 2 as well, we got Nonet’s report card. I didn’t bother to look at her classmates’ report card anymore since they have graduated already. But, mama recalled that Nonet’s general average is higher than their first honor. Well, I didn’t appeal anymore. We thought that due to Nonet’s many absences she was awarded as second honor only. But that’s fine. :)

This summer, we decided not to enroll her to any summer class anymore. We’ll just have her rest and hopefully gain weight, to prepare her for grade school level this coming June.

Ciao! :)
