Holy Friday

Feast and Festivities Add comments

Holy Friday is when we remember Jesus death at the cross. The celebration in our church starts with the Seven Last Words at 12 noon. Then the veneration of the cross at 3PM follows. Attending the veneration of the cross at 3PM is the second day of the triduum prayer. In the homily, the priest stressed out that we should not be pity on Jesus when we saw Him on the cross. Instead, we should be forever grateful and should be sorry for the sins we have done.

We are lucky today because, Jesus has already redeemed us from death. Jesus is alive and has succeeded death. We are lucky because now, we only remember His sacrifices for us. We are lucky because inspite of our sins, God loves us so much.

I am guilty for my sins and I pray that Jesus will help me not to sin anymore. I know that it would take a lot of prayers to be strong enough to resist sin. I believe that we should be praying for one another and learn to really love and respect one another.

Thank you Jesus for Your love. Thank you Lord, God.

Ciao! :)
