The Victory Jump!

History Add comments

One of the most popular EDSA humor was the victory jump of the former president Fidel V. Ramos. I searched over the Internet to find the famous jump, which could be one of the ways on how to lose belly fat fast but I didn’t find one. :( I found a re-enactment jump though but not the true victory jump! :)

Former President Fidel V. Ramos was the then AFP Vice Chief of Staff and was also the chief of the Philippine Constabulary (now the Philippine National Police). Many would agree that Ramos had a big role in the success of the EDSA revolution. When Juan Ponce Enrile and his fellow coup plotters asked Ramos help, he immediately resigned from his position and supported the said revolution. Then, the rest is history! :)

I had an opportunity to meet the former president when we the participants of the First Filipino Children’s Forum held in 1996, had a courtesy call with the him at MalacaƱang Palace. I was one of the facilitators in the said forum.

He may be a tough a guy being in the military for nearly 40 years. Yet, I still believe that he is a man with a good heart. :)

    Hi,

I was one of the participants of the First Filipino Children’s Forum in 1996. I was from San Nicolas College in Surigao City. I came about your post when I was reminiscing looking at my photos from the event. That was one of my memorable experiences…

    Good day!
