Just married!

The local showbiz industry was caught by surprised today with a news that the young supertar, Judy Ann Santos tied the knot with her fiance, Ryan Agoncillo at the San Juan Nepomuceno church in San Juan, Batangas. Well, there had been a lot of rumors about their wedding but no one had confirmed the exact date and place as where the ceremony will take place.

Judy ann and ryan wedding

It was Fr. Tito Caluag who officiated the wedding that took place early morning today. It was a very private wedding. I believe that Judai and Ryan wanted a very solemn wedding, amidst the “circus” like wedding of other celebrities.

Judy Ann and Ryan’s wedding is like a picture perfect wedding which are great for digital frame to last forever. :)

I supposed to post this yesterday but wasn’t able to. Anyway, when I opened my IE browser yesterday, found something ”weird” icons instead of the usual GOOGLE name which is actually set as my homepage.

Well, yesterday the world celebrates the birthday of Samuel Morse. The man behind the invention of the telegraph and of course the Morse Code. :)

Butterfly Dream

It's my Life No Comments »

As much as I can, I wanted to keep my blog updated everyday. But due to some work related reasons, I failed to do it. :( Anyway, I opt to share you about this dream I had a couple of days ago. I don’t remember the whole story anymore, how I came to that place with my sisters. It was like a garden or a meadow where there were many butterflies flying around. My sisters tried to cath one but they weren’t able to.

In my dream, I was the only one who was able to have a butterfly land on my forehand. I remember myself being happy and at peace in that dream. I was smiling as I held one butterfly and told my sisters how to have a butterfly land on their hands. That dream was one of the most beautiful dreams I had. :)

I never seen myself  wearing that kind of smile and having the same joy I had in my dreams. Of course, I did research on what my dream means anyway. :)

butterfly

Different “dream meaning” websites have their own interpretation. But each interpretation is quite related to each other.

*** Some say that the butterfly represents the spirit or the essence of the individual: the soul. Butterflies are generally symbols of transformation because they go through a metamorphosis. They are beautiful, evasive, and, at times, inspiring. Your unconscious mind may be pointing out the most positive part of yourself or another.

*** To see a butterfly among flowers and green grasses, indicates prosperity and fair attainments. To see them flying about, could denote news from absent friends by letter, or from some one who has seen them. To a young woman, a happy love, culminating in a life union.

*** A symbol of fears. Not a symbol that anything bad will happn, but a warning to ensure your anxieties do not lead you to make bad decisions. (www.dreamsayer.com)

Well, I like the second meaning the most!

Summer Rain

In the News No Comments »

It’s the month of April. Here in the Philippines, it is actually our summer season still. I personally have not expecting the rain up until the first day of May. Well, I have this childhood belief that when it rains on May 1, then it is some kind of a holy water. I admit that I do “catch” some rain water when it does rain on the first day of May. :)

It was surprising though that we are getting occasional rain showers in the 3rd week of April. I mean, that kind of rain we are experiencing now, are expected during the the rainy seasons. This is really alarming. I don’t know if other people realize how alarming this is. Maybe they are busy with some personal matters that they thought is more important than thinking about the unusual rain showers that we have today.

global warming

Didn’t they realize that all those other worries will be worthless, if our one Earth will vanish? The government though launches different awareness about global warming. In fact, I have learned about global warming when I was in the 3rd grade in elementary school. And that was,  18 years ago! And now, we are experiencing its effect slowly but deadly.

I will not elaborate more on what global warming is all about. There are a lot of websites on the net that offers explicit explanations about this. What is important is that, how are we going to deal with it? Are we aware that it is happening?

I hope and I pray that it isn’t late for us people to act and save our home.

I wasn’t able to report to work yesterday due to stomach ache. Well, not until later that day after I had my check up at Medical City that I actually suffered from some “acidity” problem. I don’t remember how’s that called but ’twas something like that. :)

I spent my afternoon yesterday at the hospital. The doctors ran series of test to make sure that it was not appendicitis. I need to undergo a certain ultasound but they wasn’t able to contact my health card provider for some reasons to verify if that ultrasound will be covered. While at the hospital, I called our broker to verify if it will be covered, she said yes,  provided that I am pregnant. :)  Well, I am positive that I am not pregnant! But then, she told me that the hospital still needs to have the card’s approval.

I asked the staff nurse how much would it cost me if I will shoulder the ultrasound, it is around Php3000-4000! Hmm, doesn’t sound like a good idea at that time. I do own a credit card, though. But, I am not sure if it has sufficient fund to cover that amount. I haven’t check my balance yet through my card’s credit report services. I ended up, signing a waiver that I will have the said ultrasound performed through OPD.

Earlier this morning, I went to my OB to have some check up and also had that kind ultrasound. She said that everything is perfectly okay as per my reproductive system is concern.

Well, I have to deprive myself from coffee and soda and some sour food. :( And, I need to eat breakfast before going to work.  I feel better now and I hope that my little sacrifices about coffee and soda will be worth it.

Twilight Cars

In the News, movies 2 Comments »

I had been lazy blogging this past few days. I don’t know if it’s the weather that made me feel that way or my work. I don’t have the same enthusiam before. :( Anyway, I found an inspiration in sharing my thoughts with you again after I finished reading New Moon. I guess I got so attached with Bella’s heartache that’s why I somehow lost energy in writing.

Like Twilight, the book 2 of Twilight Saga will be in film and would be in theaters sometime in November, 2009. Ofcourse, I intend to watch it in movie house this time :) As I browse the net to look for more information about the upcoming film, I found a very interesting site, twilightpoison.com. For me it is a very informative site especially for Twilight fans! :)

But among the beautiful facts that the site presented, I liked the best its article about the  cars “used” in the novel. According to the site:

Stephenie has a very clear idea of what the cars in her novels look like. Here are the exact models the characters own according to Stephenie’s official website.
If you always wondered why she decided to choose certain cars for her characters just read the descriptions of the cars. We are starting to believe this is no coincidence ;) .

Note: These cars might be different than the ones used for the movie, but these are the originals Stephenie had in mind when she wrote the book.

The article is entitled The Cullen Cars

In Twilight

Bella's car

1953, Chevrolet Pickup truck

This is Isabella Marie Swan’s car. It was Charlie’s “homecoming” present for her the day she arrives in Forks from Arizona.
Features: Despite being an old, cheap car the truck has it’s own unique charm and personality, like most old fashioned cars do. It might not have the coolest and newer applications around, but it’s very strong and resistant thanks to its chrome bumper that can protect the owner of almost any crash.

Edward Cullen's car

Volvo S60 R

This is Edward Cullen’s car.
Features: It’s a luxury sports car. According to Forbes, Volvo is the number one maker of luxurious. What defines this car the most is its reliability. It’s been defined as one of the safest cars ever manufactured, and Forbes even named it “Best among all cars”. It’s also a car for those who like to speed in the safest way possible.

Rosalie Cullen's car

BMW M3 convertible

This one’s Rosalie Cullen’s car.
Features: The BMW made sure that this was one of the hottest cars ever launched fo the company. It’s a luxury compact executive car. The BMW defines this car as “a car with unique geometry”. It has a motorsport engine used in racing programs, and it’s highly powerful. It’s a high performance car and it has the most agressive aerodynamics that had ever been used for a car. It’s a best selling automobile, according to the BMW and it has won several awards, especially for its powerplants.

Carlisle Cullen's car

Mercedes S55 AMG

This is Dr. Carlisle Cullen’s car. Very classic car that really suits Carlisle. :)
Features: Being a creation from the Mercedes Benz company, this is a highly expenssive luxurious car. The Mercedes Benz refers to cars like these as “Special Class Car”. It was designed for high performances and it has tons of safety features. However, the most defining features of a car like this is its classic elegance and its modernity. Mostly everything on this car can be controlled through audio, thanks to the Linguatronic Voice recognition system which controls audio, navigation and even cellphone calls.

Emmett Cullen's car

Jeep Wrangler

This one is owned by Emmett Cullen.
Features:
This is an off road vehicle, sucesor of the World War II Jeep. It’s extremely powerful, strong and resistant. However, it’s fairly comfortable. It has a galvanized body, wider wheelbase and less ground clearance. It has 8 inch wheels wide, high back seats, off road gas shocks, power steering, fog lamps and extra capacity fuel tank. Plus, it’s fully wrapped in leather. The perfect vehicle for adventures.

Aston Martin V12 Vanquish

This is the car used by Edward on their prom night.

In New Moon

Jacob Black's car

Volkswagen Rabbit

This one is Jacob Black’s car. In the novel, Jacob put an effort to “rebuild” this car.
Features: Despite being a very old model, it’s highly respected. It has a nice performance and it’s fairly cheap. It’s successor of cars like the Golf.

Alice Cullen's car

Porsche 911 Turbo

This is the car used by Alice Cullen when she and Bella went to Volterra City (in Tuscany, Italy) to save Edward from pissing off the Volturis. This is also the same car that Alice would want to have “legally” which Edward promised to give her on Christmas.
Features: It’s a sports car especially designed for legal street racing. It’s extremely powerful, since it features a Turbo charger for its performance and speed. The company defines this car as created for “exhilarating acceleration”. It’s exclusive, therefore it’s very rare and extremely expenssive. It’s design is distinctive and very durable. However it was named the most fatal car ever. It’s extremely dangerous to drive a vehicle like this and most of its features are illegal in certain parts of the world, especially where street racing is illegal.

Well, hope you enjoy it as much as I do. ‘Til then. :)

Cities I like to visit :)

Places 2 Comments »

Since it is my off today, I tried to relax from the exhausting work loads and target that I wanted to meet. I don’t know what will happen to my kpi this April. It really made me feel sad and disoriented. I don’t know if I still have time to attain the grade I need to have. :(

Anyway, instead of spending time in Boso-Boso resort in Antipolo City today where our office held our annual Family Day, I decided to stay at home. I read book,  fix my things and watch one of my all time favorite movie, While You Were Sleeping which starred Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman. :)

Well, watching that movie made me feel good. Then, I thought of the city of Florence in Italy. What is it in that city that made Lucy (Sandra) so anxious of going there?

I told my self that someday I’d like to visit that city, too. There are other cities in the world that I would like to be at. First in my list is Vatican City. Very obvious reason, I am a Catholic and I really wanted to go there. :)

St. Peter's Cathedral

St. Peter’s Cathedral in Vatican City

I also wanted to go to Paris and climbed up the Eiffel tower :) .

Eiffel Tower

Another place I wanted to see in France, is Lourdes. Do I need to tell you why? :) I wanted to visit the shrine of Mama Mary there.

Lourdes Shrine

Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes

I wanted to be in London as well! Oh yeah, to visit… not the queen but Prince William! :)

Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace

Seeing the Statue of Liberty in New York City is one of the things, I would like to experience in my lifetime. :) I bet, there are so much things to do in New York City not only gazing at Liberty! :)

But then, before I visit these wonderful cities of the world, I would visit first, the beautiful cities that my country offers to the world! :)

A Sympathy

In the News 1 Comment »

I took a break from watching the news to express my thoughts. Well, in the news right now is the death of the wife of ABS-CBN news anchor, Ted Failon. Alledgely, his wife commited suicide for some financial problems that she can’t tell to Ted.

First, I would like to express my sincere condolences to the family of the late Trina Etong (Ted’s wife). I felt bad for the family specially for Ted and to his daughters. Those QCPD police sucks! I know that almost everybody knows what happened and how disrespectful those in uniform to Ted’s family.

In the news, Ted said that if this whole thing is done by those bad policemen is something to get even with him, then live his family and his wife’s relatives alone. If you can recall, they happened to be the same men who are in the scene of EDSA rob out. And if we can remember, it was ABS-CBN news team which showed the said video of the scene to the public.

I pray that God will be merciful enough to Ted’s family. I pray that his family will get justice from the brutal treatment done by those who supposed to be protecting the people. That was an obvious, power tripping and excessive use of power.

In my own opinion, I don’t believe and I don’t think Ted can hurt his wife. And, like what his eldest daughter said that it was hard to admit on national TV that his mother committed suicide. Yet those no-heart policemen are accusing Ted as the culprit. I hope that those policemen will soon realize what they have done. That they should be sorry for what they did, and not wait for the time that the same incident will happen to they own family.

I know that many people are praying for Ted’s family. I pray that Trina will be  able to receive God’s forgiveness and that she at peace now in God’s loving arms.

Something to Reflect ON..

When I received this email from my friend earlier, I told myself that it is one of the “chain emails” I usually received. I read the first line and I told myself that I have read that email before. Anyway, I did read the email though. I was right. I have read that email before. But as soon as I read the email, I started getting goosebumps.

DID YOU KNOW THESE FACTS?
I SURE DIDN’T TILL NOW..

Death is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death!
Make a personal reflection about Very interesting, read until the end…..

It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7):

‘Be not deceived; God is not mocked:

for whatsoever a man sow,

that shall he also reap.’

Here are some men and women who mocked God :

John Lennon (Singer):

Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:

Christianity will end, it will disappear.

I do not have to argue about

that. I am certain.

Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him’ (1966).

Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil ):

During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.

Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):

During A show in Canecio ( Rio de Janeiro ),

while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said:‘God, that’s for you.’

He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner.
The man who built the Titanic

After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be.

With an ironic tone he said:

‘Not even God can sink it’

The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic

Marilyn Monroe (Actress)

She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:

‘I don’t need your Jesus’.

A week later, she was found dead in her apartment

Bon Scott (Singer)

The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:

‘Don’t stop me; I’m going down all the way, down the highway to hell’.

On the 19th of February 1980 , Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.

Campinas (IN 2005)

In Campinas , Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend…..

The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car:

‘My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You.’

She responded: ‘Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here……It’s Already Full ‘

Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died,

the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact.

The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken

Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer)

said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written. In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus.

Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

‘Jesus’

‘Lord, I love you and I need you, come into my heart, and bless me, my family, my home, and my friends, in Jesus’ name. Amen.’

And I say, AMEN..

Ninang’s Gift

Talking about my godmother, she asked me if I could give her a bubble foot spa massager as a birthday present. I bought a foot spa massager for myself last March and she like to have one, too. She used my own massager and she said that it was relaxing. Her  birthday is in July, so I still have ample of time to save for it. :)

Bubble Foot Spa Massager

But then, I am actually thinking of giving her some sports gifts. She has arthritis and I believe that a little “sport activity” will somehow cure the arthritis and help manage the pain that it gives her.

Well, I still have time to decide on what to give her. I told her once that she should be the one to give me gifts since she is my godmother. :) Of course, it was a joke but half meant! :P

Words of wisdom from godmother

Work Stuff 1 Comment »

Last night, my youngest sister was telling my aunt-godmother about the street vendors who stayed at their posts even inspite of the sun’s terrible heat. My godmother told her that, those people need to sacrifice and bear the heat of the sun because they are working. They are indeed working. They have to stay under the sun to sell their goods for a living.

Unknown to my godmother, those word had been “words of wisdom” for me. This past few days, I had been disoriented with my work. Not exactly about my job but the policies and the management that revolves around my work. I had been frustrated for the last weeks. I lost my focus on my work. I have had a lot of complains lately to the point that I wanted to quit. :(

But then last night, after those words my dear godmother uttered, I realized that I am lucky to have the job I have right now. She is right though, there is no such thing as “easy job”, unless its illegal. :)

I realized that I am blessed with a pretty good job. I work in an air conditioned room. With my salary (though, my colleagues say that we are underpaid :) ), I can support my family and my daughter and at the same time, I can still manage to buy things for myself.

With her words, I learned to appreciate my job. It’s not easy though. But then, being where I am now, I can say that I am luckier than more than a hundred thousand people in my country.

I thank you Lord. :)

Ciao! :)
