Obama or McCain?

History, In the News Add comments

As the US presidential elections grew nearer, the whole world’s eyes are on US right now. Everyone is asking, who will be the next president of the world’s powerful country. Though I am not an American, yet the election results will actually give a big impact in the world. I remember I have read an article before that talks about the United States of America as the coutry who balances the peace and order in the world. I believe so.

I was watching a late night news last night, and according to polls, Obama is 7% leading than McCain. They said that the poll results usually turned out as the election result. I searched around to find out more about these two candidates. Obama belongs to Democratic party while McCain belongs to the Republicans. They said that McCain is a more experienced politician compared to Obama. Different Filipino analyst have been interviewed about their views and though they gave good opinions for McCain, they’re eyeing on Obama to be the rightful president especially during these days, when US is facing economic difficulties.

Personally, at first I like Obama. I am not saying that McCain will not be a good president. I know that McCain has a heart for blacks and asian people. But Obama is black and he grew up in Indonesia which is an Asian country. So he knows what a black and an asian person feels.  But then, McCain is more open to country’s relation with other nations and outsourcing. Being in the call center industries, of course, I will be affected if Obama is against outsourcing. I might lose my job! :(  Though I understand the reason behind Obama’s stand about outsourcing.

I found an interesting information about Obama and McCain from snopes.com. You may check these sites.

I have read each others brief biographies and I believe that both of them deserve to be America’s next president. Each has his own strengths and weaknesses. But then, whoever wins this election I know that he deserves it and he will be a good president. :)

God bless America and the world..
